In Nicaragua, the Cooperative of Multiple Services of April 20 R.L. was founded on April 20, 1994 by 51 coffee growers in Quilalí, Nueva Segovia, with the support of the Ministry of Social Action (MSA). With a mission to offer financial services to improve the lives of cooperative members and their families, the institution aimed to provide reliable and consolidated financial and non-financial services in the Central North of the country.
The cooperative now has more than 6,000 members and consists of three departments with seven branches in Madriz, Nueva Segovia and Jinotega.
Guided by social responsibility, the cooperative aims to ensure the needs of its partners are met. Financial services include savings and credit access, family remittances and farm certifications.
