Josh Burdett

A random fact about me: After college, I rode my bicycle from Providence, RI, to Half Moon Bay, CA (4,227 miles).

Josh began his career in the coffee industry as a summer intern at InterAmerican's Houston office in 2010 and joined the company full time in 2012. He earned a bachelor's degree in environmental studies from the University of Kansas and an MBA with a concentration in finance from Syracuse University.

Over the years, Josh has held several positions at InterAmerican, including intern, trader, Houston Trade Desk manager and head of the Houston office. In 2020, he relocated to the Hoboken office where he currently serves as the senior trade and operations manager.

Outside of work, Josh's interests include drinking coffee, spending time outdoors, watching University of Kansas basketball (go Jayhawks!), and enjoying time with his wife and daughter.

Josh loves the coffee industry and finds that it’s the perfect balance of numbers, people and a commodity that so many people care so deeply about.

Best place you ever went on a business trip: Kenya in 2017 was pretty epic.

Profession you wanted to be when you were a kid: Veterinarian.

Favorite company outing or event: The old Houston HQ's annual pool party was always a great time.

Best coffee memory/favorite coffee experience: Honestly, I really enjoy the day-to-day.  It can be a grind and is often stressful, but the people I work with are genuinely incredible people and they make it all worthwhile.
